Fiat Group Deploys Xerox’s Managed Print Services Worldwide
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) today announced a global contract to manage Fiat Group’s print operations. The five-year
managed print services (MPS) agreement will help the auto-focused industrial group reduce operational costs by an estimated 30 percent, and support its growing
sustainability agenda.
Companies worldwide are increasingly adopting MPS to uncover new ways to save money, according to a recent report by research and analysis firm
Quocirca. Nearly 70 percent of companies surveyed view printing as a strategic priority.
Working with Xerox, Fiat Group will use MPS to better manage its company-wide print spend and drive cost out of its global IT infrastructure. The MPS strategy will help Fiat Group operate more efficiently by consolidating the number of output devices and redirecting print jobs to the most cost-effective machine. Xerox’s management and pre-emptive servicing of equipment will help employees stay productive throughout the day.
Fiat Group will also use tools such as Xerox’s
sustainability calculator to support its commitment to
environmental sustainability and reduce energy use by 50 percent.
“MPS delivers results that can have a positive and direct impact on a corporation’s bottom line,” said
Stephen Cronin, president,
Xerox Global Services. “Companies like Fiat who partner with Xerox have a significant advantage – our global delivery capabilities and MPS market leadership position mean we can quickly transform the way business is done – and build a sustainable infrastructure for the future.”
